THE GODFATHER SCOTCH AND AMARETTO COCKTAIL RECIPE

THE GODFATHER SCOTCH AND AMARETTO COCKTAIL RECIPE

john mascarich ·

A Godfather inspired cocktail curated from The Spruce Eats.

The Godfather is a strong and simple sipping drink made of whiskey and Amaretto, a sweet Italian liqueur.

The almond-scented amaretto softens the Scotch whiskey, but still a stiff drink that a tough guy (or gal) can sip slowly at the end of a hard day.

The drink debuted around the time of the Oscar-winning and wildly popular film "The Godfather" in the 1970s. You could easily imagine it as a drink Don Corleone might have at his desk while considering favors on his daughter's wedding day.
